Andrew H. Gustafson

Andrew H. Gustafson is Of Counsel in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner. His litigation experience is diverse and includes the defense of professional liability claims against attorneys, real estate brokers, homeowners’ associations, and healthcare practitioners involving alleged errors, breaches of fiduciary duty, and ethical violations. He also represents professionals in disciplinary hearings.  In addition to professional liability matters, Drew handles general commercial litigation and transportation industry litigation. Well-versed in appellate advocacy, he has successfully argued before all three Divisions of the Washington State Court of Appeals and defended appeals in federal court before the 9th Circuit.

Andrew has first-chaired trials defending homeowners associations in Kitsap County and King County.  He has obtained summary judgment dismissal of over a dozen legal malpractice claims and successfully defended these claims on appeal. Two of these appeals resulted in published opinions further elaborating on the ambit of the attorney judgment rule and Washington’s litigation privilege.
