Andrew H. Gustafson is Of Counsel in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner. His practice emphasizes the defense of professional liability claims, with particular focus on legal and real estate malpractice, disciplinary proceedings, and commercial litigation. He represents attorneys, real estate brokers, homeowners associations, and healthcare practitioners through trial and appeal in matters involving alleged errors, breaches of fiduciary duty, and ethical violations. Well-versed in appellate advocacy, he has successfully argued before all three Divisions of the Washington State Court of Appeals and defended appeals in federal court before the 9th Circuit.

Representative Experience
Andrew has first-chaired trials defending homeowners associations in Kitsap County and King County. He has obtained summary judgment dismissal of over a dozen legal malpractice claims and successfully defended these claims on appeal. Two of these appeals resulted in published opinions further elaborating on the ambit of the attorney judgment rule and Washington’s litigation privilege.
