Williams Kastner Welcomes Three New Attorneys to the Spokane Office

Williams Kastner is proud to announce the addition of three new attorneys to its Spokane, Washington office: Amy M. Mensik, William “Bill” Symmes, and Abigail “Abby” Maurer-Lesser. The addition of these three exceptional attorneys adds to William Kastner’s already robust Construction, Labor & Employment, and Litigation practice groups and helps further solidify the firm’s presence in Spokane.

Williams Kastner boasts more than 60 attorneys across Washington and Oregon, with roots dating back to 1929. These three attorneys represent significant growth in the firm’s Labor & Employment section, adding a collective 45 years of experience in the practice area. With services ranging from employment litigation to state and federal regulatory compliance to labor/management relations, Williams Kastner provides both public and private sector clients not only with representation in court, but also at arbitration and mediation, and most importantly consultations regarding proposed actions and representation at the negotiating table and job-site.

Amy, Bill, and Abby were all a part of Witherspoon Kelley– a long-established Spokane law firm acquired by Hawley Troxell in 2023. Hawley announced plans to close its Spokane office at the end of March 2024.

“The addition of this team to our Spokane office is a big win for our firm and further evidences our commitment to strategic expansion of our presence in the Inland Northwest,” said Managing Director, Rod Umberger.

“Amy, Abigail, and I, are excited to combine our deep legal experience in the Inland Northwest with Williams Kastner’s tradition of excellence that has been a hallmark of the Firm for over 95 years. We look forward to enhancing the Firm’s presence and ability to personally serve its clients on both sides of the Cascades and beyond,” said Bill Symmes.
