Laura J. Black
About
Laura J. Black is a member of Williams Kastner’s Inland Northwest Practice Team. Her practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on employment law and general litigation. Laura has extensive experience handling cases from inception through trial and appeal, including employment disputes, business litigation, and complex commercial matters. She also has a strong background in advising employers on workplace investigations and drafting employment-related agreements.
Laura is a longtime member of the Spokane legal community. She earned her law degree summa cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law and began her career as a judicial clerk at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division III. She later spent over a decade as a principal attorney at a mid-size Spokane firm where she managed employment and commercial litigation matters and played a key role in firm leadership. Before joining Williams Kastner, Laura practiced as a litigation attorney at a regional personal injury firm, where she successfully handled a high-volume caseload and briefed a Writ of Certiorari before the Supreme Court of Boise.
