Williams Kastner Welcomes Karen Hobson to Portland Office
Portland, OR (July 15, 2011) – The law firm of Williams Kastner is pleased to announce the addition of Karen E. Hobson as an associate in its Portland office. Ms. Hobson’s practice will focus on business transactions, estate planning and tax planning. Ms. Hobson has experience with pre-formation planning, entity formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and contractual interpretation issues. In addition, she also advises on ERISA and employment issues. She is experienced in preparing employee benefit plan documents and summary plan descriptions to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Prior to joining Williams Kastner, Ms. Hobson was an associate at Bullivant Houser Bailey PC. Ms. Hobson obtained her LL.M. from New York University School of Law, her J.D. from University of Oregon School of Law and her B.A. from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Multnomah Bar Association and Oregon State Bar. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association and is a co-grader for the Oregon Bar Exam. Ms. Hobson is admitted to the Bar in Oregon and Washington.
