Twenty Williams Kastner Attorneys Named to Washington Super Lawyers List and Washington Rising Stars List

Seattle, WA (June 21, 2011) — Williams Kastner, a Pacific Northwest law firm, announced today that 16 of its attorneys have been named to the Washington Super Lawyers list and four of its attorneys have been named to the Washington Rising Stars list for 2011.

Receiving this recognition are Seattle member and Managing Director Sheryl Willert, Seattle members Randy Aliment, Kimberly Baker, Daniel Brown, Jerry Creim, John Evans, Matthew Green, Jessie Harris, Douglas Hofmann, Mary Re Knack, Christopher Marks, Mary Spillane, Rodney Umberger, David Wiley and Tacoma members Scott O’Halloran and John Rosendahl. The list, which recognizes outstanding achievement among lawyers from 70-plus practice areas, will be published in Washington Super Lawyers magazine. Attorneys selected to Washington Super Lawyers must meet the highest standards of professional achievement, as measured by both their peers and an independent research staff. Only 5 percent of practicing attorneys in Washington are listed in Washington Super Lawyers.

Spillane and Willert were additionally recognized among the “Top 50 Women” lawyers in Washington and Spillane was also named to the “Top 100″ lawyers in Washington.

Attorneys selected to the Washington Rising Stars list include Seattle member Claire Hur, Seattle associates Eliot Harris and Arissa Peterson and Tacoma associate Michelle Garzon. Washington Rising Stars is an annual list that designates the top “up-and-coming” attorneys in Washington who are either 40 or under or have been practicing for 10 years or less. In order to be selected for inclusion on the Washington Rising Stars list, lawyers must receive the highest marks of achievement from their peers and an independent, attorney-led research team. Only 2.5 percent of attorneys in Washington receive this honor.
