Randy Aliment Elected Vice-Chair of American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice SectionSEATTLE, WA — Randy Aliment, member in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner, has been elected as Vice-Chair to the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section. His one-year term began August 4, 2009 at which time Mr. Aliment became chair-elect of the practice section for 2010. The American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section has 32,000 members and 34 general committees, which provide members opportunities to interact with one other and share information on relevant issues. Mr. Aliment’s practice focuses on commercial law advice, business litigation and higher education law. He has negotiated agreements on behalf of clients involved in commercial transactions in Europe, the Middle East and China. Mr. Aliment collaborates extensively with the firm's Chinese affiliate, Duan & Duan, working in their offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. Mr. Aliment joined the firm in 1980 and served as its chairman from 1994 – 1996 and currently sits on the board of directors. He graduated second in his class from the Seattle University School of Law and received his B.A. with honors from the University of Puget Sound. |
