Markos Scheer Appointed to Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

Sitka, AK (January 6, 2017) – Markos Scheer, a member in the Seattle and Sitka offices of Williams Kastner and member of the Seafood Industry and Maritime practice team, has been appointed to the Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for a two year term. The Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce links businesses with other leading Sitka area business members, officers, leaders and managers, and elected officials to enhance economic growth and development.

The election to the Sitka Chamber board follows closely behind Mr. Scheer’s election in September 2016 to a three year term to the board of directors of the Southeast Conference, the regional economic development authority.  Mr. Scheer is very excited about the prospect of working with Sitka and Southeast area businesses and municipalities to develop business opportunities.

Mr. Scheer’s practice encompasses a broad range of general business and civil litigation matters, including all types of business transactions, contracts, business formation and planning, insurance, premises liability, risk evaluation and mitigation and the purchase and sale of goods and real estate.  Mr. Scheer values a responsive and open relationship with clients and emphasizes collaboration to fashion comprehensive legal planning and remedies for businesses large and small.  All with the goal of providing cost effective legal solutions to the issues businesses face every day.
