Mary Spillane, a member in the Seattle office, is the chair of the firm’s Appellate and Health Care Practice Groups. Her practice emphasizes state and federal appeals, medical malpractice and products liability defense litigation, and health care law. Ms. Spillane has substantial experience advising health care clients on risk management, credentialing, quality assurance, fraud and abuse, self-referral, antitrust, and health care reform issues. Ms. Spillane has been named to The Best Lawyers in America® since 2007 in the area of Appellate Law and and Health Care Law and to Super Lawyers every year since 2001 by Washington Law & Politics magazine where she has also been designated as one of the “Top 50 Women Washington Super Lawyers” every year since 2003. She has also been recognized by the Seattle Met magazine as a “Top Lawyer” in health care for 2010, a designation based upon Martindale-Hubbell’s ranking of those practitioners in King County who have been judged by their peers to be “AV Preeminent”—the highest peer-review rating available. Ms. Spillane was selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of Appellate Law and Health Care Law in 2011.
