Experience:

Randy Aliment’s practice emphasizes commercial law advice, business litigation and higher education law. He has represented clients in numerous state and federal courts and administrative bodies in several states and Canada. His experience includes national coordinating counsel in mass tort litigation, securities fraud litigation and contract negotiations on behalf of sports figures. In 2012, he also served as Chair of the 25,000-member Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association.

Mr. Aliment has represented clients involved in commercial transactions in Europe, the Middle East, China, and Japan. He collaborates extensively with the firm's Chinese affiliate Duan & Duan in his representation of US and Chinese entities in various transactions, agreements and joint ventures. Randy was invited by former Governor Christine Gregoire to join her on a trade delegation to Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai, China in September 2010.

Mr. Aliment has repeatedly been recognized as an outstanding Pacific Northwest lawyer, including: Washington Law & Politics Super Lawyer, several years; Washington CEO magazine in 2006; Seattle Magazine in 2007; Seattle Business Monthly as one of Seattle’s “Best Business Lawyers” in 2007; and Seattle Met magazine as a “Top Lawyer” in Commercial Litigation for 2010. In February 2010, Mr. Aliment was nominated for the King County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Outstanding Mentor Award, and in 2012 he was named recipient of the University of Puget Sound’s Distinguished Alumni Professional Achievement Award. Mr. Aliment is included in the listing of Best Lawyers in America for 2013, and he has been recognized in the Who’s Who of International Business Lawyers each year since 2011. His Martindale-Hubbell rating is “AV Preeminent”—the highest peer-review rating available.
