Harris, Jessie L.
Practice Areas:Litigation - General Jessie Harris is a trial lawyer and Member in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner, and currently serves on the firm's Board of Directors. He concentrates his practice on civil litigation related to product liability, bodily injury, employment law and commercial cases. Mr. Harris has broad litigation experience consisting of numerous jury trials, alternative dispute resolution and managing complex cases in state and federal district court. He was named to the Rising Stars list by Washington Law & Politics magazine from 2001 to 2004, and again from 2008 to 2010. Mr. Harris represents clients in cases involving corporate negligence, serious bodily injury and property damage. As part of his employment practice, Mr. Harris conducts personnel investigations and represents clients in lawsuits alleging wrongful termination, sexual harassment, retaliation and discrimination. His commercial practice includes the representation of clients in contract disputes and cases involving breach of warranties, misrepresentation, and violation of the Consumer Protection Act. Mr. Harris also represents municipal corporations including school districts, cities, towns and numerous public agencies in a wide range of litigation matters. Education: Washington State University, BA Admittance to Bar:Washington Affiliations: Mr. Harris is admitted to practice in Federal Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington. He is a member of the Loren Miller Bar Association and the King County Arbitration Panel. Mr. Harris is the Chair of the Self-Insurers and Risk Managers Committee and a fellow of the Leadership Academy for the American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). He is on the Board of Advisors for Gonzaga University School of Law and the Washington State University African American Alumni Alliance. He is a member of the Washington Council of School Attorneys. Mr. Harris has also served on the Board of Managers for the Downtown Seattle YMCA, as Chair of the Partners With Youth Community Campaign for two consecutive years.
