He has represented clients in numerous state and federal courts and administrative bodies in several states and Canada. He has negotiated agreements on behalf of clients involved in commercial transactions in Europe, the Middle East and China. Mr. Aliment collaborates extensively with the firm's Chinese affiliate, Duan & Duan, working in their offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong in his representation of US and Chinese entities in various transactions, agreements and joint ventures. Randy has been invited by Governor Christine Gregoire of the State of Washington to join her on a trade delegation to Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai, China in September 2010. His experience includes national coordinating counsel in mass tort litigation, securities fraud litigation and contract negotiations on behalf of sports figures. He currently serves on the Williams Kastner board of directors and formerly served as its Chairman. He has repeatedly been recognized as an outstanding Pacific Northwest lawyer including: Washington Law & Politics Super Lawyer, several years; Washington CEO magazine in 2006; Seattle Magazine in 2007; and in Seattle Business Monthly as one of Seattle’s Best Business Lawyers in 2007. Most recently, in February 2010, Mr. Aliment was nominated for the King County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Outstanding Mentor Award. He has also been recognized by the Seattle Met magazine as a "Top Lawyer" in Commercial Litigation for 2010, a designation based upon Martindale-Hubbell's ranking of those practitioners in King County who have been judged by their peers to be “AV Preeminent”—the highest peer-review rating available. Education:Mr. Aliment received his BA with honors from the University of Puget Sound and graduated summa cum laude (second in his class) from the Seattle University School of Law. Affiliations:Mr. Aliment is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Law section of the Washington State Bar Association. In the American Bar Association, he is an officer and a member of the governing Council of the Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section, the past Chair of numerous committees and programs, and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Mr. Aliment is also one of four delegates of the American Bar Association to the UIA International Association of Lawyers headquartered in Paris, France. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle, the Washington China Relations Council, the Council on Law in Higher Education, the Chairman of the Board of Governors of City University of Seattle and a past president of Fairwood Golf & Country Club.
