Shatz, Naoko Inoue
Practice Areas: Japan Law Practice Naoko Inoue Shatz is Of Counsel in the Seattle office with a practice that emphasizes international business transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint venture, new business formations, contract negotiation and related dispute resolution and employment matters. Ms. Shatz has represented numerous Japanese entities with business interests in the United States and U.S. companies with business interests in Japan. She also has extensive experience assisting global companies in antitrust litigation. In addition, She is a lead attorney for Japanese document reviews, document collections, document retention policy for e-discovery purposes during litigation procedures. Ms. Shatz received a B.A. from Seikei University in Tokyo in 1987 and a J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law with honors in 2001. Before obtaining a J.D., She also studied International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Shatz is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the King County Bar Association and the Japan America Society, and she served as a pro bono attorney for the Housing Justice Project through the King County Bar Association.
